Nothing best describes ‘self-made’ like Linda Ikeji

Linda Ikeji is one name that resonates powerfully with us, and we are sure, with a lot of you as well. Asides being our favourite entertainment/gossip blogger, she is tenaciously redefining what success means. We absolutely love how this phenomenal woman has risen up the ranks, and made a career of a field many scorned up until recently. Here are 5 reasons why “Lin-Lin” as she’s fondly called is our inspirational woman crush

She created a multi-billion career from blogging

At a time when blogging was considered lazy and almost nonexistent in Nigeria, Linda intentionally and painstakingly made a successful career out of it. Fast forward to 2017, she is not only an admired media personality, but comfortably sits as one of the wealthiest. Her billion naira mansion in Banana Island is living proof of that.

She’s the poster-child for tenacity

A serial entrepreneur, Linda tried her hands at a lot of things – publishing, model management, event planning, etc, – before she made a successful career out of blogging. She failed many times and hasn’t been ashamed to talk about those low moments. She’s living proof that tenacity, determination and focus will always win eventually.

She is steadily building a media empire

Yes, there’s no stopping her. Linda continues to prove to us that she is an admirable package of brains and foresight. Not one to stop at blogging, she has gone on to establish Linda Ikeji TV, providing employment opportunities for lots of young people. Prior to that, she launched the Linda Ikeji social app as a platform for people to promote their businesses and discover job opportunities. Boss Lady or not?

She’s on a mission to help young girls and women build their names

This always gets our hearts. Linda is clearly not relaxing until she successfully builds her army of self-made women. The maiden edition of the self-made woman conference held last month, with speakers like Kemi Adetiba, Tara Fela Durotoye and others, a lot of younger women were greatly inspired to live, lead and thrive.

She’s a true Leading Lady

Yes! Linda effortlessly puts the L in Leading Ladies. Are you going to get on board or nah?
