4 Tech Careers you should look into starting!

The world is growing even more technologically cognizant and there has been a rapid advance in technology unlike seen at any other period in history.

With the introduction and vitality of several new technologies like Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, and more, the tech industry is constantly seeking talent.

In this article, we will share four high-tech careers in high demand that you should look into. Sometimes, these roles require a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering. However, this requirement is not rigid and intensive training and proof of expertise nullifies it.

1. Software Developer

You want to post a quick photo on Instagram and you pick up your phone and do that seamlessly. Or maybe you need to reach out to a client via email on your computer.

Your phone, computer, smartwatch, or any other smart appliance is the hardware, and everything you can do with these is because of the software.

A software developer is a specialist in charge of designing and developing computer programs, be it the operating system of the device or the application on it. Because of the rapid advance in technology, there’s a high demand for software developers, and you can choose to work for a company or as a freelancer. There is also a variety of online learning programs and resources if you want to become one.

2.  Cybersecurity

The demand for cyber security professionals exponentially grew over the years because of the sensitivity of data, its storage and exchange. Millions of dollars can be lost due to data breaches that compromise sensitive information.

Cyber Security jobs provide highly competitive salaries, employment guarantees, and a dynamic work environment.

For a career in cyber security, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or any related field is required at least, if you don’t have a degree in cyber security. You also need to participate in an intensive cybersecurity boot camp.

3. Blockchain Engineer

The advance of technology has led us to the Blockchain era and while Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are its most mainstream use case, they do not scratch the surface of the uses of blockchain technology.

What blockchain technology does is remove the need for a third party in any situation and that would be helpful in a lot of situations. An ultra-safe and secure Blockchain network could be used to vote. It could also be used for money and financial exchanges and so much more.

To become a Blockchain engineer, we would advise an intensive and hands-on boot camp. You can also access numerous learning resources online.

4. Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, and Google Assistant are popular digital assistants that have been largely integrated into life as we know it. They were created by a team of developers, particularly an AI engineer. An AI program is a machine program that has been created to think and act similarly to humans

An Artificial Intelligence engineer is a computer specialist who uses AI and Machine Learning to create software that increases efficiency in human activities. AI is said to have great potential in applications to Business, Finances, National Security and more. AI use cases can already be seen in streaming sites’ algorithms and in driverless cars.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields is needed to become an AI engineer. You should also attend several boot camps where you can focus on practice and experience before focusing on getting jobs.
