Bolanle Olukanni is a TV Host and Producer, (and my Role Model š
She isĀ a woman who wants to impact the world. She is passionate about helping orphans and widows and she understand the challenges that widowed women face in the society. This led her to set up a foundation called GWF which stands for God’s Wives Foundation.
A platform set up to empower Widows and singleĀ mothers through skills and acquisition. this program began in March 2017 and has empowered 75 women. Training them in tailoring, makeup artistry and catering.
Her fashion Social enterprise, ‘Fridays Are For Maxis’ is an employment platform for graduates of the tailoring course in the GWF. A certain portion of the proceeds from these outfits goes directly to the beneficiaries of the program. Fridays Are For Maxis focuses on ready to wear and affordable maxi dresses that come in all sizes for every woman.
