7 Nigerian Women Proving that Content is Queen

Ever heard the phrase “content is king”? Well, allow us to introduce to you the Nigerian women standing tall as the queens of content creation. With their unique storytelling styles, they connect with their audiences across the world.

Interestingly, these content queens aren’t just creators; they also inspire change and have earned their places on the Leading Ladies Africa 100 Most Inspiring Women list for 2024.

 

Tomike Adeoye

Fondly called Olori Ebi by her audience, Tomike is a  media personality,  an award-winning content creator, event host, actress, and brand influencer.

Her media career started with co-hosting a radio show on Unilag FM as a student,  where she honed her skills as a radio presenter. Since then, she has seamlessly transitioned through various roles, evolving from an OAP to a prominent TV presenter, event host, brand ambassador, influencer, and content creator across various social media platforms.

Tomike’s cheerful personality and ability to connect with her audience through engaging content across beauty, lifestyle, brands storytelling, has won her a large following of over a million active followers across all social media platforms.

 With a large social influence and active followers, she is currently an ambassador to top brands such as Maltina, Mega Growth and has influenced for brands such as, Hollandia Yoghurt, Google, Nestle, YouTube, Xiaomi, Jumia Nigeria and more

Her achievements over the years include being recognized as one of the winners of the YouTube Black Voices Class of 2021 and receiving the Bella Naija Best Influencer of the Year award in 2023.

Additionally, she has been honored with awards such as the ELOY Award for TV Personality in 2019, The Future Awards Africa Prize for On-Air Personality TV in 2018, and The Gage Award for Brand Influencer of the Year in 2021.

Beyond her accomplishments in the media industry, Tomike is the Founder of the Tomike Adeoye Foundation. Through this initiative, she organizes outreaches aimed at supporting midwives, mothers, and young children in underserved communities.

 

Eniola Olanrewaju 

Also known as Korty EO, she is a YouTuber, and filmmaker, loved for her authentic style of storytelling. From starting out with creating videos in her home in 2020, her content has found the appeal of over 300,000 subscribers on Youtube.

Among her notable content is “Love and Lies,” an interesting series that tells stories of the current dating world and the ups and downs of romantic relationships in the Gen-Z era.

Korty’s channel also features interviews with notable celebrities such as Rema, Black Sheriff, Victor Osimhen, Temi Otedola and more.

In 2023, Korty’s creativity was recognized on a global scale when she was selected as the African Filmmaker for the Victoria’s Secret World Tour. An event that allowed her to document various sizes and inclusivity in the world of fashion for women.

She was also selected by The NBA to represent Africa at the NBA All-Star Weekend 2024. In 2023, she was selected as one of the honorees for the YouTube Black Voices Class of 2023.

 

Drea Okeke

Drea Okeke is a Nigerian-American content creator known for creating content that promotes the Nigerian culture, sharing her journey with alopecia, and promoting self-love through relatable skits. 

After feeling unfulfilled in her career as an engineer, she decided to become a full-time content creator in 2018. With over 7 million followers across her social media platforms, her journey  inspires others to pursue their passions fearlessly.

Drea’s impact is notable, from hosting on the 2022 BET Awards red carpet to securing major brand partnerships. In 2023, she was listed amongst Forbes 30 under 30, among Forbes’ top creators for the year.

She also wears the hat of a content creation coach; teaching aspiring creators with the tools and skills needed to thrive in their journey.

 

Hauwa Lawal 

She  is an award-winning Nigerian content creator and brand influencer known for her humorous style of storytelling.

She started telling stories by writing comics as a child, and her career in social media content creation took off while she was working for a media organization.

Her passion for content creation continued to grow, gaining tractions for her work. She later transitioned to a role at a tech company, where she quit her position as the Head of Digital Marketing to become a full-time content creator.

After creating content anonymously for a while, Hauwa unveiled her face during the launch of her debut comic book, “Hauwa’s Madhouse.”

Her fearless decision paid off when she won the Future Award for Creativity and Innovation in 2023.

 

Keke Hammond

Keke Hammond is a  trailblazer in the entertainment industry. As the CEO of Road14 Studios, she leads a creative haven focused on enhancing the experience and presentation of the African child. This is evidenced in the  organisation’s recent collaboration with Disney on the groundbreaking animated film, Iwájú.

With a rich background in Film, Theatre, Concerts, Event Management, Radio, and Film Production, Keke brings a wealth of expertise to her roles.

Her passion for celebrating African entertainment is seen in her roles  as the Chief Operations Officer at FlyTime Music Festival, and as the Executive Director of MagicLines Studio and the Founder of Rhythm Unplugged.

With a BA in Marketing from Howard University, Keke Hammond combines her  creativity and business management skills to promote the African Entertainment Industry and inspire the next generation of African storytellers.

Beyond her professional achievements, Keke is a philanthropist at heart. She is the founder of  Road14  Cares, a foundation that cares for children living with disabilities.

 

Sharon Nwosu

Sharon Nwosu is a digital content creator who began her journey as a YouTuber at the age of 19. She currently has over 100k followers on Instagram and 47k subscribers on YouTube. With her interest for content creation and passion for making impacts, she creates content focused on faith, skincare, haircare, and fashion.

Despite her background in Aeronautics Engineering, she has leveraged the power of social media to make a difference, openly sharing her faith journey and helping others find their way by answering important questions with references from the Bible and sharing her personal experiences.

 

Rita Uwayah Ginikachukwu

She is an award-winning content creator and brand influencer. 

She started out creating comical videos to promote  her business. Interestingly, her content gained traction within a short time, marking the beginning of her journey as a full-time content creator and brand influencer.

As a brand influencer, she has promoted brands across industries including, fashion, wellness, food, and travel. In recognition of her talent, in 2023, she was announced as the winner of the 2023 NXT Honors in the content creation category.
