We are thrilled to announce the launch of our career development program for African female career professionals — it’s called the Career Advancement and Mentorship Program (CAMP), and we’re kicking off the 1st Cohort.
What is CAMP?
The Career Advancement and Mentorship Program (CAMP) is an annual 5-month program that facilitates workplace readiness and career development for women of African descent. It is targeted at female African professionals and career women aged 20 – 45. The objective is to build a community of highly skilled female professionals, and equip them with the skills they need to thrive in their professional lives, and on the global workplace stage.
Who is it for?
The first cohort launches, and it’s specifically for those with 0-7 years work experience in the corporate world, those who want to take their career to the next level, and those who see the value in being paired with a mentor for the duration of the program. Don’t fret if you have more years of experience — we are launching the second cohort next year — so keep your ears peeled for that.
How is the Program delivered?
CAMP will be delivered virtually through a mix of 1:1 mentor/mentee sessions, bi-monthly lunch and learn meets, monthly educative and informative webinars facilitated by world-class experts, bi-weekly intensive classes — with access to workbooks and specially curated videos, group discussions and so much more! A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the 5-month program.
The Program
CAMP is divided into two cohorts of 30 individuals each:
- Cohort 1 — (December 2020 – April 2021)
- Cohort 2 — (June 2021 – October 2021)
Registration for Cohort 1 of the Career Advancement Program (CAMP) opens now through November 23 at 11:59 PM (WAT).
