Jasmine Twitty, made history as the youngest judge, to ever be appointed or elected in the US at 25.

Jasmine Twitty is an American associate judge for the Easley, South Carolina municipal court.

Appointed to the position of associate judge of the munic goipal court for the city of Easley, South Carolina in August 2015, the 25-year-old now 30 became one of the youngest judges to ever be appointed or elected in United States history.

Jasmine Twitty, who graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Political Science, previously worked for the Greenville County Bond Court as a night clerk and after completing a training program and passing a certification examination, was sworn in as a judge at the age of 25.

In addition to her career as a judge, she regularly volunteers at the Urban League of the Upstate. And as a young striving woman, Twitty also was a founding member of a group dedicated to the professional development of women in the Upstate called “LeadHER”.

Nearly a century later, since a woman was appointed to the position of municipal judge in the U.S, Jasmine has proved that, with the right attitude and hard work, one’s sex, age and skin color doesn’t matter when it comes to excelling in the legal field.
