Iyore N. Olaye is a technology innovator currently transforming the beauty and consumer technology industries at Walker & Company Brands, backed by 33.3 million in funding with notable investors. She has a B.sc in Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering from Cornell University and received a business CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School.
She is a lead product development engineer at Walker and Company, the tech company creating beauty products for people of color, including men’s grooming brand Bevel and haircare line FORM. She leads R&D and is known for her strong technical abilities and marketing talent.
Iyore Olaye gained viral recognition when her story of being the only African American woman to receive a B.SC degree in the Cornell University Chemical Engineering Class of 2016 caught the attention of media publications worldwide.
As an advocate for women and underrepresented minorities in Science Technology Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.), Iyore has toured the nation engaging in interviews and conferences sharing her personal journey to inspire others.
Her strong technical capabilities and strategic product marketing talent has seen her co-create an 11 product technology infused hair care line in just 12 months, known as FORM Beauty, a tech startup that creates beauty products specifically for people of color.
Iyore founded the Iyore Noelle Olaye Scholarship Award to support students during their first collegiate year, one of the most difficult years for S.T.E.M. students.
She was named as one of the 2018 Forbes 30 under 30 Powerhouse in Retail & E-commerce. She was also the youngest on the list.
