Olufunto (Funto) Igun

Olufunto (Funto) Igun is a multi-skilled professional with over 30 years work experience, which include audit, accounting, business development and growth, people management, organisational restructuring and education management.

She started her career at Ernst & Young Osindero Oni (now EY) and left as a Senior Accountant supervising audit teams on several engagements across variousSectors/Industries after which she had brief finance function and consulting experiences at both Royal Strides Investments and Sunio Company.

In January 1996, she joined the Corona Schools Trust Council as the pioneer Management Accountant and in 2002 she was appointed the Financial Controller with overall responsibility for accounting and financial management. She was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Corona Schools Trust Council in September 2010, a position she retired from in March 2017 after leading manytransformational projects, including curriculum improvement, accreditation of the Corona College of Education and expansion projects.

Olufunto is currently engaged in providing business development services to MSMEs,education management, (Chief Administrator at Oxbridge Tutorial College, Lagos, Nigeria) as well as ongoing development sector work.

She is a Mentor in the second cohort of the Career Advancement and Mentorship program (CAMP) developed by LLA to encourage workplace readiness and career development for women of African descent.

She is voluntarily involved in the mentoring of youth, micro and small business owners and other voluntary service to society.
