Asisat Oshoala becomes first and only African women’s player to score in three different World Cup tournaments

Nigeria and Barcelona’s forward, Asisat Oshoala, achieved a remarkable feat in Africa’s football history during the Women’s World Cup 2023.

Continuing her dominance in the sport, Asisat Oshoala, crowned Africa’s Women Footballer of the Year at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, stunned the world with her exceptional goal, setting a new record in African football heritage.

Oshoala accomplished a milestone by becoming the first and only African women’s player to score in three different World Cup tournaments.

In a thrilling match against Australia, Oshoala netted her first goal of the World Cup 2023 in   we the 76th minute, securing a momentous 2-3 victory for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, propelling them to the top of Group B.
