EPR Global held the third edition of her annual event, The Emergence Conference on November 19th and 20th, 2021. The event hosted amazing speakers such as Adenyke Israel-Bolarinwa (the Convener), Lanre Olusola, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Kunle Soriyan, Dr. Patricia Murugami, Arese Ugwu, Busola Dakolo, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Bimbo Fola-Alade, Talaat & Tai McNeely and other global thought leaders engaging women on the skills and knowledge needed to remain relevant in this new digital age.
Themed Quantum Leap – Breaking New Frontiers, the 2-day virtual conference was aimed at equipping women with the tools needed to bring to life their goals and aspirations towards personal and professional development. It featured keynote sessions, business & career masterclasses, fireside chats, roundtable sessions, with topics such as Positioning for a Quantum Leap, Nice Girls still do not get the Corner Office, Breaking the Mould, Emotional Intelligence as Competitive Advantage, Business Expansion Strategies for Unchartered Territories, and more.
Speaking at the event, the convener, Adenyke Israel-Bolarinwa made a few note-worthy and memorable comments such as:
“It’s not very often that the world experiences a global change which impacts every nation at the same time as the pandemic has done; It’s not another cliché statement when I say this change has fundamentally changed the fabric of society in ways that are still unfolding.”

The Emergence Conference was created by EPR Global for women of black heritage who are looking to navigate the complexities of modern professional life, career, entrepreneurship, and family. It is a community for women to connect, collaborate, and leverage their knowledge, expertise, and network to transform their lives and become thought leaders in any industry.
In addition, this year’s conference also featured EPR’s Social Enterprise Pitch Competition. The Pitch will be targeted at different African countries each year with Kenya being the 1st one for the 2021 edition. The Social Enterprise Program supports female owned start-up businesses providing social and environmental benefits as part of its product and/or services. The Business Pitch provides a financial seed grant for winners in addition to one-year free business consulting services.
The winners for this year are Martina Adega (TajiZuri Foundation) in first place, Regina Wabuko (Style By Ray) in second place and Lillian Maina (Tuzzi Water) in third place. They were awarded $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000 respectively
The conference recorded over 800 attendees from Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Germany, Tanzania, South Africa, Mexico, USA, Canada, Spain, and other parts of the world.
