In light of recent events, She Writes Woman Mental Health Initiative is inviting everyone to their webinar on Friday, the 20th of November 2020.
“We really don’t know just how much these past few months have affected us,” mentioned Executive Director, Hauwa Ojeifo. “There’s a lot of trauma we all have to unload. Most people go through life without ever experiencing all we’ve gone through with the lockdown and the #EndSARS protests. It’s important that we all realize that our mental health has been impacted by these events and we need to be proactive and learn what to do if and when the time comes.”
She Writes Woman, which promotes mental health and wellness in Nigeria through its various projects including a toll-free helpline, 0800 800 2000 and free virtual therapy sessions, is holding its first webinar. The organization states that present events are unprecedented and notes that it is important, now more than ever, that people look after their mental health and is holding the webinar to teach everyone about self-care.
The webinar, which will be hosted by Executive Director, Hauwa Ojeifo, will hold on Friday the 20th by 6 PM. She Writes Woman invites everyone and anyone who is mental health conscious to join in the conversation by registering at bit.ly/SafePlaceNigeria.
