She is a beauty with brains.
The 22-year old was recently crowned as the Miss Congo UK 2017. Pageants are known to be very competitive but this diva slayed through to emerge as the Queen.
She’s a fighter.
At the age of 11, Horceile discovered that she was HIV positive from birth. While many others would have blamed their parents for their ‘misfortune’, this queen did not allow her status prevent her from achieving her dreams.
She genuinely cares about others.
Miss Mbongo uses the platform she got from the pageant to campaign about HIV and AIDS which is still very rampant in her country Congo and other parts of the continent. She became a voice for others who are HIV positive like her as she defies stigma inspiring people to achieve their dreams despite their circumstances.The beauty queen who has faced many obstacles was able to overcome as she said ‘I’m happy I’ve won at least something in my life. My story has warmed people’s hearts and that’s the most important thing.’
