It is not uncommon to hear inappropriate remarks about someone’s race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status or disability at work.
It is however very common to be uncertain about how to receive these comments.
What do you say to a colleague who hints at your body weight or your eating habits or your hair or maybe even puts you down with derogatory comments disguised as ”harmless feedback”?
Do you call her out?
Do you let it slide?
Are you being sensitive?
