Rihanna has taken on a new position within her business endeavors.
The versatile entrepreneur and Fenty mogul has relinquished her CEO position at Savage X Fenty, the lingerie brand she co-founded in 2018. As per Vogue Business’s recent report, Hillary Super, former CEO of Anthropologie Group, will assume the role starting June 26. However, Rihanna will continue to play a prominent role as the executive chair in a new capacity.
“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years,” Rihanna said in a statement to Harper’s Bazaar. “This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO—she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”
Savage X Fenty has garnered praise since its inception for its commitment to inclusivity, embracing diversity in both size and ethnicity, and catering to a wide variety of body shapes and skin tones. Additionally, the brand has gained recognition for its annual fashion shows, which are exclusively streamed on Prime Video.
Super, who has previously held leadership roles at prominent brands such as American Eagle, Guess, Gap, and Old Navy, intends to enhance the lingerie brand’s physical presence as it aims to expand beyond its online platform. Thus far, the brand has established seven stores throughout the United States, including notable locations in Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.
