Regina Askia-Williams, famous actress known for her leading roles in the 90s, has re-branded herself as she proves that the sky is just the limit for any woman who is determined. Diversifying from a successful acting and modeling career, Regina Askia-Williams is currently an American-based registered nurse, healthcare and educational activist, television producer, writer, and public speaker.
To add to her outstanding accomplishments over the years, Regina has recently launched various wellness programs aimed at changing the face of health across Nigeria and the African Diaspora. She has also launched her new website to showcase her work in health, nursing, education as well as her vibrant, new brand image.
“I am excited about this new chapter to use my expertise to support my people in their health and lifestyle journey. My re-branding came at the appropriate time. Being a proud Nigerian and being able to really give back is eternally fulfilling,” said Regina Askia-Williams.
The new website features two critically acclaimed projects that Regina is currently spearheading; The R.A.N.E Project (Regina Askia for Nursing Excellence in Nigeria) and The African Health Dialogues.
The R.A.N.E Project is a program that advances the skills of nurses in healthcare delivery throughout Nigeria while the African Health Dialogues is a weekly healthcare discussion on the progress and gaps, costs and accessibility of medical /pharmaceutical products and services within the African and African Diaspora communities worldwide.
As a former actress, Regina’s acting break came in 1993, when she secured a leading role on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA, one of Nigeria’s national Television broadcast channels). Her critically acclaimed performance ushered in other roles in the Nollywood movie industry throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, and expanding her popularity throughout the African continent.
