Victoria James popularly known as Veekee James is a designer that stands out in the Nigerian fashion scene with her designs and style of work. The Akwa Ibom born entrepreneur is known for creating illusions with gorgeous dresses mostly worn by brides and and celebrities for red carpet appearances.
Veekae James’ passion for fashion started when she was a teenager. Although, she said it was not a new thing to her as she was raised by a fashion designer herself. She later ventured into other professions makeup, wig making, beauty blogging to mention but a few.
She has mastered the art of sculpting the feminine body in her dresses. Hence her designs are popular for enhanced boobs and hips with snatched waistlines. Beautiful beadings, illusions, and luxurious fabrics are some other remarkable features too. Sometimes, she styles her clients herself hence these attributes are almost common in them all.
From her creations, we can firmly say that Veekee James is very talented and hard-working. Her dedication to her work is very admirable, which is why she gained this post as our ‘designer of the week’.
With several years of professional designing, styling, and make-up experience, she has worked with a lot of local and international celebrities for music video shoots, commercials, and pageantries. She has also supported other designers by wearing and promoting their brands.

“The government needs to be intentional about SME growth, policies need to be developed to encourage the creation and sustainability of small businesses, more easily accessible SME funding initiatives, relaxed and growth facilitating tax regulations and rates, swift and affordable SME legalisation procedures and a lot less custom/excise duties and shipping regulations, which is a major problem.”
