  • Leading Ladies Africa: If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be?

Kiasi Sandrine Mputu: If I could describe myself in a word it would be versatile: the ability to do many different things well and also being able to change and adapt easily .

This skill allows me to see the bigger picture in things, fill gaps, be more adaptable, innovative and be able to be in different environments and connect with different kinds of people at the same time.

  • Leading Ladies Africa: If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be?

Kiasi Sandrine Mputu: Yes, I’ve had so many disappointments in life, but I see it as part of the process of living.

It’s never about the disappointment itself but more about how you handle it and which lesson you can get from it.

The way I handle disappointments  is through reflection on how to improve things I have control on and be proactive but also how to handle my reactions on things I can’t control, rather than seeing myself as a victim of feeling bad or discouraged about unplanned circumstances.

  • Leading Ladies Africa: If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be?

Kiasi Sandrine Mputu: Innovation for me comes from a level of being in constant evolution and up to date on things happening around you and even inside you with a problem solving mentality .

We constantly change and everything around us changes too but how does it affect us?

And how can we improve and bring a solution or a positive impact to a specific problem or to a specific need ?

If you can ask yourself these kinds of questions , you’ll be able to stay innovative.

  • Leading Ladies Africa: If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be?

Kiasi Sandrine Mputu: When it gets tough and challenging is when your character, motivations and determination are tested !

What does not kill you makes you stronger right ?

The greatest lessons ( no matter what the final result is ) always come from the greatest challenges.

If you are able to see any experience in life (positive or negative ) as a lesson, that is going to equip you for the next challenges you might face and eventually help you overcome them and get results.

Sometimes we just cannot avoid challenges but we can always equip ourselves on how to handle them and eventually win.

  • Leading Ladies Africa: If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be?

Kiasi Sandrine Mputu: The biggest advice I can share to the women in our community and entrepreneurs is to never give up and to choose your tribe carefully.

You will always have to deal with people in life but the greatest impact and influence (positive or negative) will come from those that are close to you.

People around you can make you or break you, can motivate you or discourage you, can help you stay on track or distract you, can support you or compete with you, can be problem solvers or problem makers.  For this reason , you need to choose very carefully.

This is what separates people who succeed from the people who don’t: persistence and the right circle.
