She is called the “Bruce Lee of Visuals” but beyond that Kemi Adetiba, music video director and filmmaker is much more to so many people, especially women. She is a messenger of hope, a cynosure of excellence and sure proof that women are called to be more.
Kemi started out professionally as a radio presenter at Rhythm 93.7 FM, moved to TV and hosted shows like the popular Maltina Dance Hall. Her desire and thirst to do more with her career led her to learn how to handle the camera and her journey as a director started.
Since then she has directed several music videos from the popular “The Future” by TY Bello, “Last Bus-stop” by Niyola, “Dance Go (Eau de Vie)” for Hennessy Artistry ‘15 {feat. Her first feature movie, The Wedding Party, shattered previous box office records in Nigeria and set a new one. Following the success of this movie, she introduced the world to King Woman, a series that featured successful Nigerian women in their glory sharing stories of their success and pain and connecting with thousands of women around the world.
Kemi is truly a symbol of excellence and creativity in the media industry and we can’t wait to see her next project. It is going to be LIT.
