American singer-songwriter, model, poet and actress Jill Scott with almost two decades of relevant input in the entertainment industry as an actor and a jazz, opera, R&B, spoken word, and hip hop singer among other genres creating a distinct style, that many refer to as neo soul takes the spot on our blog today.
Prior to breaking through the music industry, Jill worked at a variety of jobs, including a number of retail positions, stints at a construction site and an ice cream parlor, and as an apprentice at the Arden Theatre Company (Philadelpia).
