We love the fact that more women are entering into the technology industry and distinguishing themselves. Ethel Cofie, however, is a break from the norm. This creative entrepreneur from Ghana is standing tall.
Ethel is the Founder and CEO of Edel Technologies, a company that specializes in creating strategies and using technological ideas to help companies achieve overall business success. Her company doesn’t just build tech for tech sake, they create solutions and increase efficiency.
Although her first business failed because she didn’t have clients and had little experience, Ethel did not let that get to her as she has proved herself with Edel Technologies. Now, she is propelling more women in tech to be successful through Women in Tech Africa.
Women In Tech Africa is a platform that brings together all women in the technology industry under a loose umbrella to solve issues affecting them as a continent and serve as a support system for each other .
Ethel’s contributions to the tech world have not gone unnoticed. She is a Mandela Fellow for President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and has been featured on CNN and BBC for her extensive work in technology and women leadership.
Ethel is particularly excited that there are more women entrepreneurs emerging in the tech sector and the possibilities that abound is one thing she looks forward to.
