When she sees a problem, Sabrina Madison is not one to sit on the sidelines waiting for a solution to present itself. She is the brain behind the “Heymiss Progress Show” on her YouTube channel. She created the show when she was continuously dissatisfied with the lack of representation of African-Americans in public dialogue on topics like inequity and social injustice.
Sabrina Madison is also the creator of the annual Black Women’s Leadership Conference, Black Excellence Youth Conference and Black Business expos, and she believes that bringing each of her organizations under one umbrella will help to expand her efforts to empower Black women and their families.
The goal of the Progress Center for Black Women is to construct new professional development opportunities and cooperative spaces for women of color. She is set to open up the center in October 2018, in commemoration of the celebration of Black History in America.
She also believes that this is an opportunity for us to create a small dollar lending program for women of color, as this is about providing a more concrete and long-lasting way to serve black women.
