Anne Muraya has been appointed as the first female chief executive officer of Deloitte East Africa.

Anne  is a Kenyan accountant, businesswoman, and corporate executive who served as the Africa Managing Partner for Responsible Business and Public Policy at Deloitte. She concurrently works as the audit leader for East Africa.

A qualified Certified Public Accountant and Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and also a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Rwanda (IcPAR). She has a wealth of audit and accounting experience having served clients in a wide range of industries including banking, financial services, manufacturing and agriculture.

Prior to being appointed CEO, she was the Regional Professional Practice Director for East Africa where she left the team that deals with technical consultations on IFRS and was actively involved in delivering training on the implementation of the requirements of international standards on Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standard in both international and on seminars and workshops organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya (ICPAK).
