It’s one thing to have a job and it’s another thing to make impact doing what you truly love.
South-African born Sandra Myambu got a job as a Portfolio Programme Analyst at Dimension Data
but still wanted to make impact directly on the society.
She had seen that more graduates were coming out of the system but they weren’t getting jobs, probably because they were not employable.
It was there she found her calling.
She started Masana Social Innovations, a startup that helps young people become employable.
Masana’s aim is to use technology innovations to enable the civil society, corporate organisations and state entities to deliver sustainable social solutions to communities.
Masana bridges the skills gap in the ICT sector by facilitating different skills development programmes but with a key focus for women who do not believe they can get the same opportunities that their male counterparts receive.
So far, Sandra and her team have successfully implemented the Africa Code Week Initiative.
Well done Sandra, we are truly inspired!
