Josephine Kuuire co-created and digitally designed the painting on the walls around the Tetteh Qurashie Interchange with other talented and creative individuals. According to Josephine Kuuire, this painting is very special because it celebrates some of the women who have contributed immensely to the history of Ghana.
The women painted on the walls around the Tetteh Qurashie Interchange the first female doctor Susan Ofori-Atta, Esther Ocloo, Mabel Dove, Theodosia Okoh, First female lawyer Annie Jiagge, Adorkor Coffie, Efua Sutherland, Yaa Asantewaa, Millicent Danquah, and Dedei Ashikishan.
In a tweet, the Creative Arts Council said “Art representing the legacies of some of the most influential and remarkable female figures during and after the independence era.”
