Michelle Obama has earned a Grammy nomination for her book, ‘Becoming’.
The former first lady and world’s most admired woman is up for the Best Spoken Word Album award for the audio book version of her memoir, which came out in November 2018.
Fellow nominees in the category include members of the Beastie Boys and actor-director John Waters.
Michelle joins her husband, two-time Grammy winner Barack Obama, as a nominee in the spoken word category. He won in 2006 and 2008.
Fellow ex-president Jimmy Carter won three Grammys in the category: one in 2007, another in 2016 and the most recent one in 2019.
Bill Clinton won the Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album in 2005. His wife, Hillary Clinton won the category back in 1997, and was nominated again in 2004.
The Grammy nominations were announced on CBS Morning on Wednesday, November 20 and scheduled to hold January 2020.
