In 2010, Nibi Lawson started the Kinky Apothecary when she realized she couldn’t find quality natural hair products for her hair in Nigeria. Knowing full well that she wasn’t the only lady struggling to find the right products, her goal was to help other naturalistas like her to grow their kinks effortlessly.
Six years down the line, the Kinky Apothecary is not just a one stop shop for everything natural, it has produced a variety of Nigerian made products for healthy hair. The company also organizes fun workshops and events like the Champagne, Cupcakes and Curl Talk event, to educate women on the seemingly daunting task of going natural.
Nibi has showcased her products at various events including the #SheHiveLondon hosted by She Leads Africa. She is proof that anybody can turn their passion into a profitable business.
