Meet Amira Elmissiry, one of the women perceived to change the economic landscape of Africa

Few women venture into the international scene of their chosen profession. Amongst those few Amira Elmissiry has excelled beyond all doubt. She is presently the Special Assistant to the President of the African Development Bank. As Special Assistant, she is responsible for all matters which include operations, policy and strategic issues.

Amira rose through the ranks as a result of her hard work, dedication and excellence after joining the Bank in 2009 and serving as a Young Professional. She holds a Master’s degree in Law and Restorative Justice and has served in various capacities with international organisations. Some include the Initiatives of Change International, the German Technical Cooperation and the Southern African Development Community from 1999- 2008.

Throughout her career, she has won many awards for her dedication and service. She was listed among the Choiseul 100, Africa 2015 which features successful entrepreneurs, rising business leaders and investors who are involved in developing Africa. She is perceived as one of the four women who will change the economic landscape of Africa in a few years.

The sky is only a starting point for Amira Elmissiry!
