Kiki Osinbajo’s Vision To Impact The Beauty Industry Through Glam’d Africa.

When you are female, 25, pretty and daughter of the vice president of Nigeria, there is an assumption that everything in life comes to you easily and you never have to work a day in your life. There is also an assumption that you shouldn’t have dreams or work so hard to fuel your ambitions because you are “privileged”.

Kiki Osinbajo, CEO- Glam’d Africa, is defying these assumptions. As a young woman she is resilient, determined, and driven by a desire to impact her country. As a budding entrepreneur, she is focused and passionate about contributing to the growth of the beauty industry in Nigeria. Even though the beauty industry is sometimes miscontrued as mainstream and saturated, Kiki believes that is where her passion lies and she is set on a mission to improve the standards of the industry, create her own narrative and ensure her brand becomes a household name in the near future.

According to her “I’ve known for a long time that I’m passionate about the beauty industry and it’s important to explore the things that stir you to work hard. Starting this business has been a lot of work but I don’t mind it because I’m doing what I love”

With a thorough understanding of skin care, beauty and business management practices, Kiki who studied Law and Business Management from Aston University UK, decided to move back to Nigeria to run her own business and very consciously contribute her own quota to the development of Nigeria. Her business seeks not just to provide excellent beauty products compatible with international standards but also to empower beauty enthusiasts and youths in the beauty industry. At the core of the corporate values Glam’d Africa upholds and strives to attain are:

  • Promoting locally made (beauty) brands and eliminating the stigma behind the quality of them.
  • Supporting young entrepreneurs especially beauty enthusiasts by offering them free training at her store.

Speaking on what she wants her business brand to communicate to her clients, she says

“We want women to be able to define their own style. Everyone understands beauty differently and chooses to present themselves, as it fits their personality. I want my business to provide something for everyone, whether you love makeup or getting your nails done or just dressing well.”
