Timi Edwin gives help to people living with sickle cell

Timi Edwin struggled with sickle cell for so long in her life she didn’t think she was going to make it. 27 years of pain and drugs wasn’t a walk in the park. Her self esteem struggles and the amount of stigmatization she went through didn’t help make things better.

You know how you have to go through things to help others, this was Timi’s story. Today, she is the co founder and CEO of CrimsonBow Sicke Cell Initiative, a faith based NGO that started two years ago. Through the NGO, she reaches out to people living with sickle cell by paying medical bills, providing medication and psychological support. The foundation has achieved a lot which one of them is saving people at the brink of suicide.

CrimsonBow started as a simple blog post but the feedback and comments from people challenged Timi to do something more with it. Since then, the organization has been involved in the lives of many sickle cell individuals through payment of medical bills, provision of medication and psychological support as well as organized several medical outreaches where they have distributed free items like sweaters, water bottles, medication, food and educational items within Lagos State.

Go Timi, we are proud of you!
