Offiong Jarigbe failed in business but got right back up

Offiong-Jarigbe

In 2007 when she gave birth to her children, Offiong Jarigbe wanted to buy African baby clothes but found it extremely difficult to get. She wasn’t so comfortable with giving her tailor left over material to use to make dresses for them so she decided to go to fashion school! What was the point complaining when she could do something about it?

Today, Offiong is the Founder of a ready to wear Ankara brand for children. It is nice to know that the business which she was so passionate about crashed in 2013 and she had to give out all her clothes for free. This did not deter her because she learnt from her mistakes and came back stronger in September 2016.

As of today, children’s marketing trade shows in America are inviting her to exhibit her products in New York, USA.

This is her advice to female entrepreneurs; “Women entrepreneurs need to first of all believe in themselves, refuse to take NO for an answer in any given field. Conduct a research in that field to be well versed and hands on.”
