The African continent is richly blessed with natural resources of varying kinds. Unfortunately, much of this wealth is left untapped into. Our leading lady today is NtshantshaTafeni-Majombozi, a South-African born entrepreneur who is focused on the promotion of South African Indigenous Herbs and Essential Oils, thereby providing natural and safer alternatives to health.

Her company, Yivani Naturals is a Black women owned entity that came to be when a gap in the market was identified. Herbs in the old days, used to be essential in healing minor ailments but the move from local to Western medicine sort of terminated the use of herbs. The company, however, seeks to promote the use of herbs inform of essential oils for their spiritual and excellent medicinal benefits while bringing in foreign exchange and creating jobs.

Apart from her work at Yivani, Ntshantsha is involved in youth development as she works in partnership with the South African Youth Council and also seats on the board of companies like Office Furniture Africa, IPCOWEB, Zenande Women’s investments and Siyakhweza Women’s Investments.

Her advice to young female entrepreneurs?

“Being in business requires tenacity and serious patience. There is no instant gratification, you have to work hard in order to achieve lasting success in business.”
