Accessories are a girl’s best friend so you can imagine how cool it is when you don’t just have access to them but produce them for a lot of women to adorn themselves with. Majoa Yeboah makes accessories, mentors girls and is one of the 30 young achievers in Ghana. Super cool right? Although she originally wanted to work in a bank, her love for accessories was stronger than that desire.

Mojoa started her accessory company, Asabea Ayisi right in school and it has grown to include other projects like the One Girl One Skill foundation.

Although the brand has grown exponentially Maajoa did not start off big, All she had was a phone camera and her Facebook page where she’d upload pictures of accessories she had made. When the results became more encouraging, she decided to turn it into a business. She admits that at the beginning she made so many mistakes and her family didn’t quite agree with her pursuing a career in fashion other than the Accounting course she was in school to study.

But it paid off.

Maajoa didn’t stop there, few years after she the business kicked off, she started the One girl One skill foundation that has till date trained over 500 girls. She was also selected as a US Global Leadership Coalition’s Entrepreneurial Challenge, which is such a huge feat.

Whatever she does next, we know she’s going to succeed.
