Lucy Quist advocates for Africans to take bold actions towards African prosperity through “The Bold New Normal.”

If you’ve heard of The Bold New Normal”, then you must know why we celebrate international and Ghanaian Business Leader, Lucy Quist, whose commitment and advocacy for greater participation of young people in STEM groom development in Africa.

Asides being the Founder and CEO of Quist Blue Diamond, a company that leverages technology, engineering, data science to transform business models. Lucy Quist is a technology enthusiast who hammers on the potentiality of technology to UP Africa’s development. Through initiatives like Evolve with STEM, she advocates for greater participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and continuously encourages young people to harness the game-changing power of STEM.

From graduating with a first-class honours degree as an electrical and electronic engineer from the University of East London, to becoming former Airtel Ghana CEO, Lucy Quist not only holds the record as the first Ghanaian woman to lead a multinational telecommunications company but was recently appointed the Vice President of the normalisation committee to restructure and transform football in Ghana which makes Lucy arguably the most powerful woman in Ghana football today.

Lucy is the President of the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Ghana, a co-founder of Fresh Bakery, the parent company of the Fresh Pay payment platform in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and also a co-founder of the Executive Women Network (www.ewntree.com). She has spoken on many subjects including leadership and technology and has been on several platforms including The Mobile World .

Through – The Bold New Normal, Lucy advocates for Africans to take bold actions towards African prosperity. The idea is based on her TEDx Euston talk ‘A Bold New Normal, which challenges Africans to create prosperous outcomes for themselves by changing their visions, language, mindset and then actions. Under this campaign she is organising interactive meet ups with young people (The Bold New Normal Tour) to discuss the idea in light of Business and Entrepreneurship, Career, Leadership, Identity, STEM and other areas relevant to Africa’s development.

Lucy was recently featured on BBC’s Power Women series as one of the top business women driving transformational change in Africa.
