Lagos State Deputy Governor, Abiola Alabi, Bolanle Austen Peters, and others to converge at WISCAR’S 2016 Annual Anniversary

Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR), a highly structured mentoring program for professional career women, will be converging great men and women at its annual Mentorship and Leadership event and is also set to induct another batch of successful mentees. The WISCAR Mentorship and Leadership program encourages professional career women to achieve their full potentials and also guides them to make informed career choices.

This year’s event which is themed Women Rising- Transforming leadershipis scheduled to hold on Saturday, 10th of December, 2016 at The Ace Olivia Hall City Mall, Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos. It will highlight the importance of the contribution of women to the growth and development of the nation and ensure equal opportunity and empowerment of women for real development to occur in the country.

The keynote speech for this event will be given by the first female Rear Admiral in Nigeria, Rear Admiral Itunu Hotonou, and the goodwill message will be delivered by Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule, Deputy Governor of Lagos State as a special guest of Honor.

This will be followed by a rich panel discussion of carefully selected exemplary women who are leaders in their various fields of endeavor which includes; Abiola Alabi – Former Managing Director M-NET, Bolanle Austen Peters – Founder Terra culture and Mrs. Hajara Adeola -Managing Director, Lotus Capital

Every year we feature distinguished women and men and engage meaningfully with them through panel discussions to tease out key and relevant issues that relate to gender, leadership, mentorship and development. The Theme we selected this year is particularly relevant at this defining time in the history of the world with women in several positions of leadership,” said Mrs. Amina Oyagbola founder of WISCAR about the upcoming event.

A key highlight of the event will be the presentation of the 5th distinguished WISCAR Award in to a worthy beneficiary in appreciation and recognition of her achievement and impact in our world. The award has been awarded in the past to; Aloma Mukhtar; former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Ayo Obe; Human Right Activist, Oby Ezekwesili; former Vice President World Bank and Minister of Education and Solid Mineral and Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui Okauru, former FIRS Executive Chairperson.
