In a time where everyone is struggling to go abroad and seek greener pastures, Joyce decided that although she was born in the USA, she will identify boldly with her culture and country.
The 28 year old professional basketball player accepted the invitation of the Nigerian Female Basketball team, D’Tigress, and proudly represented the country at different matches. Joyce however decided to take her love for the game to another level by starting her own basketball skills training business called 3D Training. The classes help young athletes strengthen their skills.
Joyce is also a member of the Harlem Globe Trotters, highly skilled sportsmen, who entertain with their skill, displaying basketball tricks, special game rules, spectacular dunks and ball-handling. The team motivates children that their goals are attainable. What is even more noteworthy is the fact that she is the first and only Nigerian in the group right now!
Since she started her career, this inspiring athlete has traveled to over 30 countries playing the game.
In her own words, “Basketball is my hobby and my career. I have used it to travel all around the world to inspire and impact young athletes especially females to aspire towards their own individual dream.”
