Like many other entrepreneurs, Annie started her company because she saw a need in the market and was desperate to fill it.

She saw that the cost of school uniforms were high and that only high profile schools could afford good quality uniforms in South Africa. Since she knew she could do something about it, she got to work.

Now, she’s the founder and CEO Rufaro Garments a company that manufactures and supplies branded uniforms and marketing materials to schools and corporates in South Africa and the wider SADC region.

Apart from the quality of their work, their custom design innovative distribution strategy has also helped them get more clients and grow exponentially. The strategies include: School Shop Model where Rufaro builds and runs custom designed uniform shops at each school premises, the Centralised Distribution – this model helps parents to get the uniforms at the head office or factory or the Online Distribution Model that allows parents to shop online and collect from any of the stores or get convenient home delivery.

Her goal is to build a company that will become Africa’s leading source of uniformed brand ambassadors and with every new client, she’s nearing that goal!
